This is my first post on BN..I wanted to say that I root passionately for UCLA and wanted desperately for the team to win.

I am so happy for the maligned players, the assistants and even for Howland, for his personal achievement . However, despite the risk of sounding like a spoiled fan, I expect more of this program. I expect that players want to come here in droves, especially west coast players.. I expect that once players get here they stay and value the experience not leave.

I expect a program to be in the top 10-15 every year, not just once every 5 years. I expect talented players like Tony Parker to get developed not rot on the bench. This is why I still maintain that despite our season that Ben Howland is not the best steward of our program long term. I wont diminish his accomplishments and I thank him for his service and good efforts..

I want a new enthusiasm in the program, amongst the fan base and in the recruiting circles. I want a change because its time. Not to bash Ben, but UCLA needs a new voice. Good luck to our team in the NCAAs and I hope we can go deep but still, at the end of the day, we need change.
