Well let's give it up for Coach Close's UCLA program. Previously this year I expressed my disappointment when her program got swept - badly - during the Bay Area trip, and failed to exact any revenge when Stanford and UCB came down to Pauley. Well, color me impressed (and am psyched to eat at least a little bit of serving of crow) after the Bruins destroyed number 5 ranked UCB in the Pac-12 tourney semifinals yesterday.

So that brings the Bruins to a showdown against the perennial powerhouse Stanford Cardinal this afternoon in Seattle. I don't think we have a shot but then again no one really expected yesterday's impressive performance either. The tip-off is scheduled for 5 pm PST. The game is televised on ESPN2.
