Shabazz returns home and Travis plays against ASU for the first time this season - Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports
Can UCLA advance to the semis for the first time since 2010?
UCLA plays ASU at noon in the first game of the quarterfinals of the PAC 12 Tournament. From the UCLA media notes for the PAC 12 tournament: "UCLA has not advanced to the Pac-12 Tournament semifinals since 2010." This has not been a great period in PAC 12 history either. Forgot Howland UCLA needs to win this game and end that streak. ASU won't make it easy for UCLA. Technically UCLA has the worst scoring deferential of any PAC 12 opponent of negative 13 with ASU in a blowout loss and OT win.
However, one detail over looked is Travis Wear did not play in either of these games. While it is Shabazz's homecoming to his native Las Vegas today; it is Travis who could make a difference by extending ASU's defense.
ASU notes are here. UCLA's official preview is here.
Go Bruins!
