Apparently, his father is a somewhat shady character. He finally came clean and admitted he lied when he claimed Shabazz was only 19.
Sports Illustrated has the story. I'm not sure what this all effects, other than just embarrassing Shabazz.
From the story: “Bazz is going to blow up in the NBA lets team up and blow this thing up!!!” Holmes wrote to this reporter. “I’m going to need a publicist anyway why shouldn’t it be you. We can do some big things together.”
