Men's Volleyball Defeats UCI, Extends Winning Streak

The UCLA men's volleyball team traveled to Irvine yesterday and came away with a convincing four set victory over the #2 ranked Anteaters. Set scores were 25-16, 25-16, 19-25, 25-17, with the Bruins' attack led by Gonzalo Quiroga (21 kills), Dane Worley (13 kills), and Robart Page (11 kills). Setter Connor Bannan contributed 50 assists, and libero Evan Mottram chipped in with 15 digs.

The #4 Bruins have now won all six of their matches in March, and begin preparation for home matches against #7 Cal Baptist on Thursday and #1 BYU on Saturday. With just 4 games left in the regular season and the MPSF tournament to follow, the Bruins are building momentum at the right time. The team shows marked improvement from its early season performances--the Bruins are now playing with confidence and consistency, and they are displaying an efficiency in attack that was sorely missing at the start of the 2013 campaign.

Go Bruins!
