UCLA ranked #8 in the world in academics

It's good to see UCLA ranked among the top ten universities in the world. The Times Higher Education World Rankings places us at #8. Four of the top eleven schools in the world are in California -- UC Berkeley (5, which is too high), Stanford (6), UCLA (8), and Caltech (11). California also features UCSD (34), UCSF (40), UC Davis (48), and UCSB (59). Pretty good for our state, eh? Oh, and if you keep scrolling through the list, eventually you'll get to Southern Cal.

Last year we were #9 in the world and this year we're #8, so that means in seven years we'll be World Champions!
