Welcome to BruinsNation 3.1.3 - New Commenting Updates

I think I've numbered it correctly this time!

The SBN Mothership rolled out a new set of refreshes and tweaks to all the blogs today in regards to commenting. You may have noticed but scared to push the new buttons. Don't worry, I'm here to explain them.

First, on mobile devices - you can now rec a post! YES! While it was fun to up our post counts by saying "mobile rec" now you can help in greening a comment from your phone or tablet. You no longer need to press "actions" to get to the rec button. Just be careful now, because it is right next to the reply button - we may have a rash of greening of posts for a while, but you can always "un-rec" a post by clicking rec again. You can also navigate comments on mobile devices, meaning if you've wanted to Z through comments, you can do it from the convenience of your iphone.

Second, something I do not understand, but I'm sure the programmers here do - the javascript on the site is now more robust and "will help with performance across browsers and devices, gives us cross-vertical code consistency." I'm guessing it means it will be easier to push updates across in the future.

Third, in the actual commenting box, you will notice a gray box. This is a "spoilers" feature, so you can now hide the spoiler text in your post. So if you're from the future and someone has been fired, and you want to protect the eyes of the Howlers, use the spoilers feature.

If there are any issues, please let us know.
