Contractual Sunshine, Part 1: Guerrero's 2008-2014 Contract

As Class of '66 said in his fanpost, the one of his public records requests has gotten us our first document.

I have posted it to Google Docs. It is publicly viewable for anyone who wants to read it.

It is Dan Guerrero's 2008-2014 contract, which was the contract we thought was due to expire 12 days ago, based on the Contract Summary on the Regents website.

However, as the document shows, it was extended to March 31, 2014 way back in 2009. While this document does not memorialize further term extensions, it appears safe to assume that the rollover clause (see Clause A. Term of Appointment) of the contract automatically extended the contract all the way to 2017 (as was reported last week by various outlets).

I have taken the time to read it in its entirety. It appears to be a pretty basic employment contract. It contains the conditions of what happens if he were fired with cause and what happens if he were fired without cause.

I'm no attorney, but I've dealt with enough contracts and legislation to offer an opinion and it looks pretty straight forward to me. Yet, I will defer to our attorney members as far as analyzing all of the details.
