espn.com & wearesc.com's Garry Paskwietz print "FUCLA" on espn.com

wearesc.com's Garry Paskwietz has a weekly Chat on espn.com.

For two straight weeks, he has a question posted using the profane phrase "FUCLA".

After the first one, I email'd him to state it was inappropriate. He replied arrogantly and claimed it was ESPN's posting but would not reveal who was posting it.

And then it happened again the following week (see both examples below).

I have also email’d espn.com about this.

Perhaps those of you in Bruins Nation might want to communicate to ESPN or Mr. Paskwietz that such a profane term is inappropriate?

Is it ok that Garry and ESPN condone this? Garry’s reply to me was arrogant, like Lane Kiffin on deflated footballs, jersey-switching esp. versus weak Colorado, locker room fight at the Sun Bowl, 7-6 after being #1, etc. Oh well.

GP where are we in terms of recruiting any news and possibel commits, or our current 4 commits. i know the Smallwood went to FUCLA, but sounds like that was not a big deal. What insight do you have?

I think things will pick up in late April and early May when the coaches are visiting schools during the evaluation period. They have been hosting a lot of players during spring ball and I've been surprised at how many offers have gone out recently as well.

if kiffin gets fired after this year .would sc consider coach O ? secondly ,why did we lose all those d lineman? and to see a few go to fucla...how tragic !!!! :( j.makay is turning over in his grave

Garry Paskwietz (5:56 PM)

Coach O is held in very high regard at USC, the title of assistant head coach speaks to that. There were varying reasons for the defensive line decommits; Fitts wasn't able to enroll early, Vanderdoes changed his mind about SC, Hatcher wanted to stay closer to home and Prevot got swayed by Oregon. Those were big losses for SC. As far as McKay turning over in his grave, that definitely happened two years ago when SC lost a pair of big-time OL recruits on signing day to Stanford. McKay never would have understood that one.
