Brian Kelly's take on the EV Situation

Obviously, Kelly knows more than I do about the situation. I really think the only people talking about it now are Notre Dame, and UCLA fans. Most fan bases have tired of it and the national media has focused on other things. Maybe the same brain trust from Notre Dame who bungled the Te'o story by sitting on it felt this was something Notre Dame needed to discuss.

I really understand how pissed the Notre Dames fans and even coaching staff had to be to lose EV. I am not even advocating that he play this year but to give an interview to ESPN about the him needing to be more accountable. Makes me not only consider the source but re-affirms what a Notre Dame Football is all about. It has nothing to do with the values, integrity, character etc. it is about winning. So if a girl kills herself because a Notre Dame player was said to rape her, the university and police protected him and somehow he, and not the girl became the victim. If if helps Notre Dame football win a championship. So be it! If a 19 year old student manager falls more than 50 feet to his death no need for a coach to step up and be accountable for placing the kid in harms way. Let the legal team take care of it coach and you go win us a championship.
