Another coaching hire fail

Talking to the media John Wooden told reporters they measure success by championships but "success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming". Using that definition former it can be argued former ASU softball coach, Clint Myers is the most successful softball coach over the last 5 years.

He took a program that has been in the shadows of Arizona and UCLA , took recruits who were told no by UCLA and Arizona, has taken his team to more WCWS than either school over the past 5 years and won more national championships over the last 5 years than either. Myers took over the ASU program in '06. the culture changed within the first season. He won his first championship in '08 his second in 2011 and he gets the best out of his teams each season. This is why many consider him the best coach in the game today.

Would be great if the greatest softball program of all time, had the best coach in the game today. Then again this is me as an unrealistic UCLA fan wishing for great things. I am sure the great brain trust in our athletic department knew it was impossible to get someone like Clint Myers at UCLA.. After all he is at ASU, and why would he leave. We can continue to watch KIP destroy the great program she was handed. The people at Auburn must be dreamers because they actually courted Clint Myer and he left the program he built at ASU, he left his alma mater, to coach at Auburn. We still have KIP
