Given that we just lost a huge QB recruit to Texas A&M thought this story was worth noting:
The Twitter account of Texas A&M Aggies sophomore quarterback Johnny Manziel has made news before. Early Sunday morning, a deleted tweet caused a bit of a stir.
According to a Dallas Morning News report, Manziel tweeted, "Bulls--- like tonight is a reason why I can't wait to leave college station...whenever it may be.
The post was deleted shortly thereafter but was followed up by what appeared to be a related tweet. It read, "Don't ever forget that I love A&M with all of my heart, but please please walk a day in my shoes."
It's uncertain to what Manziel's initial tweet referred. A Texas A&M spokesman said he doesn't anticipate any response from Manziel on the matter.
CBSSports.com reported Monday that an A&M coach checked in with Manziel and reported that the quarterback understands the strength of his words.
That was on ESPN but it's a huge story that has been the talk of college football in last couple of days. As we are just getting started with the off-season national pundits have had a field day gossiping about it.
I think this is just a matter of a player who is still just a sophomore and is growing up in terms of maturity off the field. He is clearly a gifted athlete at this level but at the end of the day is just a sophomore.
Anyway, thought it was worth noting since A&M has been part of our discussion on QB recruiting.
