Men's team finished in 13th place. Sad to say, this is the best finish in Coach Maynard's 4 years at the helm. And Doughnut has a best 9th place finish in all the years of his original and extended contract. Florida and Texas A&M tied for 1st. I am sure they have natural recruiting advantages over the best university in the largest city in the largest state in the country- just not sure what those advantages are.
Women's team finished in 20th place. Almost caught South Dakota (!@!), but it was not to be. Coach Bolden has a national championship with UCLA in her past, but it unfortunately is in the ever more distant past. The women's team has not finished in the top 10 since 2007. Kansas won the title this year. Again, not clear what their recruiting advantages would be.
I have nothing but admiration for the individuals who sacrifice for their team and for the school. But it is Doughnut's job to put the team in the best possible position to succeed. That is clearly not happening.
Doughnut- WAKE UP. It's Donut Day again. Just kidding. But as long as you are up, how about actually taking a look at these teams? Something isn't working.
