Dan Greenspan over at NFL.com has a quick bit on our redshirt sophomore QB Brett Hundley, who was phenomenal in his first season of college football, but still has some big room to grow. Specifically, according to Jim Mora, is Hundley's next step needs to be a better decision-maker when under center, knowing when to throw it away, when to scramble, and reading pass coverage quicker and cleaner.
With a much more difficult schedule on tap this season, UCLA will need Hundley to elevate his game. His sure-to-be-NFL-bound offensive lineman, Xavier Su'a-Filo, is certain it will happen:
What we will see in Brett this year is just a different player, as far as he still has all the ability and will make the plays, but he will be a lot more confident in it.
With Jet Ski now running in Green Bay, and without super-freak TE Joe Fauria in the red-zone, Hundley will have to carry the Bruins offense, if Mora is to win at least 9 games and get UCLA back to the conference title game.
