Nevada’s Cody Fajardo "Can’t Wait to Prove Some Guys Wrong at UCLA"

Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE

As noted by IE Angel in his thorough notes on Nevada's offense - Cody is perhaps the best QB in the Mountain West Conference and is on pretty much every pre-season watch list. For some reason he didn't get a lot of offers from elite BCS conference schools and one of them happen to include UCLA. Well he has a "chip on his shoulder" about not getting an offer from the Bruins b/c according this interview by Reno local television station UCLA was Fajardo's "dream school" (emphasis added):

News 4's Julia Lopez sat down with Cody and he told her, "I love the Wolf Pack, I love the decision coming here [to Nevada], but I can't wait to prove some guys wrong at UCLA."

Well, okay then. Not sure who he will try to prove wrong? Rick Neuheisel and his former staff? They are no longer in Westwood. Fajardo looks fired up as he will have 250-400 family and friends at the Rose Bowl. His coach is also fired up evoking the results of Nevada-Cal game (which Nevada won) and Texas A&M and Alabama game (in which he coached the Aggies as the "special teams) from last season.

I am guessing these comments will get on our team's bulletin board. Can't wait till Saturday.

GO BRUINS.
