I think one of the coolest things about this site is the amount of content that comes from our dedicated Bruin bloggers. The quality of perspective, opinions, and well thought out content from the bloggers is amazing. We don't resort to name calling as a way to feed our egos. We do it with results and wins. But even when things don't go well, we still call ourselves out.
What always catches my attention is that we embrace what has happened to us Bruins. We don't sugar coat things and focus only on the positives. We acknowledge our faults and call out the changes that need to happen. That just shows how passionate we are about the UCLA Athletics programs. Each day I find myself visiting the site at least a dozen times just to see what people are thinking about the Bruin sports universe.
Yes, I do occasionally glance over our neighbors at Conquest Chronicles and here's what I noticed:
- It's mostly dead - of the few articles that exist, there aren't many comments
- They avoid writing about bad press - they act as if nothing negative has ever happened to Tommy Trojan
- The site is a clear manifestation of their egotistic behavior
What's even more disgusting is when visiting the Bleacher Report or ESPN sites, comments by Trojans are just plain nasty and childish. They only resort to name calling and twisted facts, while at the same time ignoring and pretending their screw ups never happened.
Everyone on here is great. I just needed to call it out.
