The men's water polo team had a fantastic tournament at Berkeley. After a 1st round warm-up on Saturday over 16th ranked Concordia, the Bruins beat 6th ranked UCSB on Saturday 10-4, with junior Paul Reynolds getting a hat trick. In their Sunday opener, the Bruins beat 4th ranked Cal 6-5. And saving the best for last, UCLA won the tournament title by knocking off top ranked $C 9-8, which was $C's first loss since 2011.
UCLA is now 11-0, and will undoubtedly move up from No. 2 to No. 1. In the title game, freshman Lovre Milos had a hat trick. UCLA was behind 6-5 at the half, and 7-6 after 3 periods.
Let's hope this momentum continues for the rest of the season. A great win for these kids and for the school.
