Bad News on the Doughnut Front

UCSF has promoted Sam Hawgood, dean of the UCSF medical school, to the position of Chancellor on an interim basis. This makes it less likely that our chancellor will get our dream job. And as long as Block stays, Doughnut stays.

And, on the interplanetary front, the Mars probe has determined that there is now clear evidence that Mars had water in its early years.

Water on Mars

This is obviously discouraging news. We were so excited yesterday that a jelly filled donut rock had been found on Mar's surface. We figured that Doughnut would be on the next Mars shuttle. But on further reflection, what use is a planet to Doughnut if it does not have free flowing Chianti?

Big deal that Mars has water. Until we find that Mars has Chianti on the surface, Doughnut will ride out his contract in Westwood.

Memo to all Mars rovers- keep looking. That Chianti has to be there somewhere. You just haven't looked hard enough. And thanks by the way for the jelly donut rock that you found. That is a great get for UCLA athletics.
