Bumped. GO BRUINS. - BN Eds.
So, you've eagerly followed all the latest football recruiting news since the Sun Bowl and even read that revised Cam Cameron Wikipedia bio to help determine just how creepy he is.
You watched the Super Bowl yesterday till the end and now you need something to feed your football fix.
Well, you're in luck because Wednesday is the college equivalent to the NFL Draft. It's National Signing Day -- the first day HS athletes can officially commit to the college of their choice. As mentioned in gbruin's excellent Spaulding Roundup, it will start EARLY. Like 5AM PT EARLY.
But the good news is that you have more than a day to prepare yourself for news regarding Coach Mora's 3rd excellent class.
While many will simply fax their commitments in, a lot of our recruits will be announcing on live television.
So, how exactly are you supposed to keep track of all this throughout the day?
Well, you've already found one way -- BN -- as well as some of the other excellent sites like BRO and the Bruin Sports Report. Of course, there is the official website. And, while you may not have signed up for a Twitter account, you can always go to Coach Mora's Twitter page and follow along there.
But, if that still isn't enough, then I suggest that you make sure you can watch the announcements live wherever you are! Since most announcements are coming on the ESPN Networks and specifically, ESPNU, make sure that you have access to them wherever you are.
If you have a smartphone, download the WatchESPN app now! Depending on your cable provider, you may need to verify your account to watch on the go. I know that Time Warner requires this. But, find this out today. Don't wait until Wednesday because you may miss something that sounds like BOOM!
If you want to watch the coverage online from work, log in to WatchESPN this afternoon or tomorrow at the latest, just so you aren't fumbling around on Wednesday while that recruit you were hoping we get puts on the hat that signifies his choice.
Also, if you are free Wednesday night, get in your car after work and drive to campus to attend the NSD Event at Pauley Pavilion. Sure, I'm planning to shoot video again this year so you will get to see it, but watching it on YouTube Thursday or Friday doesn't have the same effect as actually being there. In fact, it's kind of like watching the Homecoming Game from a room in Pauley Pavilion. It's not the same.
Come out and support the team. Get out there early to meet the players. Go thank our #1 recruit Brett Hundley for coming back next season. Show the players some love!
Last year, we filled almost an entire sideline. This year, let's show Chianti Dan what Pauley looks like when it is filled to capacity because it isn't going to happen while TIARA is running the basketball program.
It sounds like BOOM!
And, remember this caveat: Coffee is for closers.
I'm hoping Coach Mora and staff once again prove that they deserve to receive much love from the likes of Juan Valdez.
If you have any technical questions about watching ESPN or other broadcasts online, please ask away in the comments.
