UCLA Receives More Applications than Any Other School in the Country

Hail to the Hills of Westwood

Not only does UCLA receive more applications than any other school in the state, it receives more than any other school in the country. Here is an article with a graphic showing the most popular school in each state.

If you run through the details by state, one factor really stands out when it comes to UCLA versus every other public school on the list. Picking some of the other schools in the Pac-12, Arizona has a 77% acceptance rate. Colorado has an 88% acceptance rate. Oregon has a 74% acceptance rate. Washington has a 55% acceptance rate. UCLA has a 22% acceptance rate.

At most of these schools, high school students apply knowing they will most likely get in. High school students apply to UCLA hoping they will get in.

UCLA clearly offers an unmatched combination of academics and undergraduate experiences, which attract more applicants than any other school. So, to the newest group of admits, congratulations. You beat the odds.
