Although this article talks about Michigan, it could very well be a discussion of UCLA. At every decision point, every single one, UCLA administrators failed, just as this article points out that Michigan's administrators failed. I like Schembechler's line: "Toe meets leather at 1:05. If you want to televise it, fine. If you don't, that's fine too." I know Doughnut Dan doesn't think that way, but I guarantee that if I were UCLA's Athletic Director, I would tell the TV networks that they can televise what they want and when they want, but they will not dictate when our games at the Rose Bowl will be played. Which means the games will be Saturday, and toe will meet leather at 1:05 local time, not 1:05 some other time.
Anyhow, read the article and then take a guess whether Doughnut Dan will read it.
