The UCLA Women's Soccer team begins their quest for a second straight NCAA national championship this evening with a season-opening exhibition match against the Texas A&M Aggies. Here are the essential details for those who want to attend or follow the match online:
When: Friday, August 15, 5 PM PDT
Where: North Athletic Field
Cost: Admission is free. Parking at Lot 8, off Westwood Blvd., is $12. (Parking lots 4 & 7 are closed.)
Listen: Bruin Live Audio
As noted on the official site, the exhibition match will feature an unusual format of three 30 minute periods. A brief preview can be found here. The Bruins will play their first regular season game and begin the defense of their national title next Friday against Maryland. I'll post a detailed preview of Amanda Cromwell's squad and their busy "off-season" early next week. Stay tuned.
