Those are the possible reactions, in order, I would have based on if we lost in each round (or won the final round).

(e.g. loss in 1st round = Embarrassed, loss in final 4 = ecstatic, etc.)

here's mine

if we lose in the... I will be:

...first round: shocked, pissed, embarrassed

...second round: shocked

...sweet 16: annoyed, and state "I still think we're better".

...Elite 8: annoyed, and state "I still think we're better" along with "We coulda made the final 4!"

...Final 4: sad, "damnit."

...Championship: speachless, except for: "SON OF A *$&%#, arghgahrghgar, DAMNIT!"

Although I would be happy that we REACHED each step in the ladder, I can only be some shade of disappointed if we lose. The emotions are on a curve the goes up and down. What team is ever really happy that they lost in the championship game? Woo, #1 losers! nobody lost better than we did! :P

Problem is 90% of the people are going to pick UCLA to win, but that's ok. I am happy to tie with everyone!!!!!

Finally.....

The rest of the world is recognizing how good UCLA is. One week too late for Howland to win the NCOY. A month too late to be considered for a #1 seed.(If the ESPN guys thought we were better than Memphis they would have put us on the possible #1 seed list like UNC.) It's all because of the Pac-10's TV deal. ESPN treats UCLA like we play in a parallel dimension they never see. Maybe it's the time difference. All I know is I could tell this team was special when I watched them play Cal State Monterrey Bay. 104-41 - Collison 16 pts. 10 ast., Wright 12 pts. 9 reb., Mbah a Moute 11 pts. 9 reb. I could see that the defense was excellent and the freshman could play. Though CSMB was completely pathetic, I saw enough.
