Beat SC Podcast With Bruin Kevin Brown (7 pm PDT)
It's Beat SC Week and on the BN football podcast we have a special guest to help us ring in the week. Former UCLA defensive lineman Kevin Brown will join Josh to share his thoughts on the program and what it's like for a Bruin player the week of the SC game. It's a whole difference animal when it's the Bruins and Trojans so Josh will have a chat with Kevin and get down to what makes it so different from a player's perspective. Of course, with the program still needing to take several steps forward in the next couple years, the direction of the program will also be on the table.
I won't be able to make it on tonight's podcast but I'm just filler anyways. It's Josh and Kevin's show tonight and it should be a treat so make sure you tune in and give it a listen live tonight or later this week.
As a member of the team that upset UCLA, 13-9, Kevin will have plenty to talk about to kick off Beat SC Week. As is always the case, you can listen live by clicking play above or you can listen afterward by clicking play or by checking out iTunes. If you can't listen live, give it a listen at any time after right above or a few hours after it's over, you can grab it from the iTunes store and add it to your iPhone or iPod.
Trying To Better a Thursday Night Performance (6:30 pm PST)
Both UCLA and Washington got last weekend off to prepare for what is a key game for each team. The Huskies will be playing their last home game of the season and it's looking like Jake Locker will get to take to the Husky Stadium field for the final time in front of what will undoubtedly be a fired up crowd. Meanwhile, the Bruins will have to find a way to win two of their last three games to make a bowl and winning in front of a hostile crowd is not easy, but something they've shown capable of doing.
We'll discuss it all during tonight's podcast, which gets underway at 6:30 pm PST and we'll have John Berkowitz from UW Dawg Pound on to help us get a feel for the Huskies. This is your podcast open thread so add your comments and questions that we'll answer or work into the show. We really do have this page open during the show and will do our best to tackle any topics, questions or comments you present. Let us gear this show to what you want to hear and are thinking about by chiming in.

Getting Ready For The Stretch Run Podcast (7 pm PDT)
UCLA is finally back on the winning side after a last second win over Oregon St. Now, the Bruins are sitting at 4-5 and need to take two of their last three games to get to bowl eligibility. With another Thursday night game coming up, UCLA has a bye on Saturday that will give them a chance to prep for the stretch run, beginning with a trip to Washington in front of what will undoubtedly be a psyched up crowd. So, what did the Bruins get right against the Beavers, how do they get the two more wins they need and how is the Pac-10 shaping up?
We'll discuss it all during tonight's podcast, which gets underway at 7 pm PDT. This is your podcast open thread so add your comments and questions that we'll answer or work into the show. Getting Back On The Bowl Track Podcast (7 pm PDT)
Another loss and UCLA is on a three game skid. Not since they pulled through in the fourth quarter to beat Washington St. have the Bruins found themselves on the smiling side of the scoreboard, but the three game losing streak the Bruins are currently mired in also came in the toughest part of the UCLA schedule. The Bruins' final four games represent an easier portion to the schedule, but being the Pac-10, nothing is easy this year and the season's final four games begins on Saturday with a home game versus Oregon St., who can win the Pac-10 title if they win out. It won't be easy for the Bruins, but the Beaver defense has been far from impressive and they are without James Rodgers so UCLA has a chance to pull out a win and get them back on the bowl track.
The podcast gets underway at 7 pm PDT and AndyPanda from Building the Dam on to give us the lowdown on the Beavers. This is your podcast open thread so add your comments and questions that we'll answer or work into the show. Bouncing Back From Humiliation Podcast (Tues. 7 pm PDT)
UPDATE (10/26): I apologize, but the podcast had to be canceled due to technical difficulties.
So maybe few expected UCLA to actually give Oregon a close game last week, but few expected a 60-13 loss either. The Bruins were truly dreadful in all aspects of the game and the Ducks made them pay for it, as the number one team is supposed to do. Now, UCLA has to figure out a way to bounce back because another ranked team, Arizona, is on tap next. We'll try to break down the Oregon game and detail what the Bruins need to take down the Wildcats.
With the Wildcats set to start a backup quarterback and a running game that has struggled against competent defenses, this game is winnable for the Bruins. Toss in that the game will be at the Rose Bowl and UCLA has a chance. Having a chance and actually getting the job done are two separate things though and we'll get into what the Bruins need to fix most if they're to beat the Wildcats.
The podcast gets underway at 7 pm PDT on Tuesday and we welcome all your thoughts and comments now or tomorrow . The Impossible Task Podcast (7 pm PDT)
Okay, so beating number one Oregon in the snakepit that is Autzen Stadium may not be impossible, but it sure feels that way. UCLA has the unenviable task of going on the road to play the nation's number one team in one of the toughest venues in the country that will be made all the more difficult by the Thursday night date, which always results in a pumped up team and crowd. Nevertheless, this is college football where the strangest of things happen and even if the chance is small, UCLA can take down the Ducks. We'll preview the contest and outline exactly what it is that the Bruins will face in Eugene on Thursday night.
