State College, PA (Sports Network) - Penn State starting quarterback Daryll Clark will play Saturday at Iowa after sustaining a concussion on October 25 in the Nittany Lions' 13-6 victory over Ohio State.
Clark has thrown for 1,652 yards and 11 touchdowns in leading PSU to an unblemished 9-0 record and the third spot in the Bowl Championship Series rankings.
"(Clark) worked yesterday," said Penn State head coach Joe Paterno at his Tuesday press conference. "(He doesn't need) more examinations or anything like that. I think he'll be fine Saturday."
Clark is trying to guide Penn State to its first-ever BCS title game; the Lions last won a national title in 1986. Texas Tech (9-0) and Alabama (9-0) currently sit second and first, respectively, in the BCS rankings ahead of Penn State.
