"University" of Southern [Ca] CRIMINALS
Seriously what will it take for the MSM to realize the pattern of out of control criminal behavior in Peter Carroll's USC program? Yet another Trojan thug was arrested for assault and battery yesterday in Southern California:
Maualuga, 18, went to a party on 29th Street for Halloween attended by a large group of athletes and students. According to witnesses, Maualuga made a sarcastic comment to another student about his Halloween costume and when the student responded to the comment, Maualuga punched him.
He was arrested by Los Angeles police at the Cardinal Gardens apartment complex and taken to the Southwest Division station, where he was booked for misdemeanor assault and released on $20,000 bail.
"I've been told not to comment, I can't really say anything," Maualuga said after Tuesday's practice. "I'm just going to leave it in God's hands."
Byrd's jaw was wired shut following the altercation, which took place when the pair argued while playing a video game, according to sources. (Note: at least it was for a good reason)
"I don't have any comment on that," Smith said following Thursday's practice.
USC coach Pete Carroll also declined comment, although sources said he spoke to Smith about the incident. Smith was not punished and has not missed any practices.
When will it be enough information for the media to recognize something really disturbing is going on over at ole USC? Does Carroll really have any control over this program any more or has he basically become a Dennis Erickson in Miami version of college football coach, letting bunch of gangbangers, hoodlums, dominating this legendarily corrupt program who turned out to be thugs, rapists, and double murderers?

I mean it is absolutely appalling to see Shelley Smith of ESPN going ga ga over another sophomoric Halloween prank Carroll played on his players allowing his resident genius Lendell White to miss practice. No mention of the latest incident whatsoever in ESPN or anywhere else (in the national MSM).
It's time rest of the country needs to become aware that something is terribly rotten going over at USC. Peter Carroll has lost all control as he is making mockery out of the concept of student athletes. Sick, pathetic, disgusting. I wonder how parents let this kids be recruited by this morally bankrupt used car salesman?

Good god, the USC program is diseased...
Their Halloween prank yesterday (where Pete Carroll threw Lendale White out of practice and White "jumped" off a roof in full view of the media) is about the lamest, most sophomoric, frat-boy humor possible. This is a man that parents want guiding their children for four years?
Snoop Dog... OJ visits... topless fight songs... Victoria's Secret parties.. prank suicides... they've truly jumped the shark, IMO. The whole thing is getting just a bit... creepy.
Football should be fun, and Lord knows Carroll is good at making it that for his kids. But if I'm not mistaken, Pete Carroll technically ranks as an "instructor" at USC, just like the HC is at any school. He is their teacher, down to giving grades for their work. What Carroll is doing degrades the profession of teaching. He may cite John Wooden as an inspiration, but his actions demonstrate that he hasn't a clue the role a coach is supposed to play in his players' lives.
To hell with "no negative recruiting." There's an ethos at work here that's increasingly twisted, and it needs to be pointed out in stark terms to potential recruits.
In a famous incident, John Wooden told his team before a game that the was being led by a corrupt coach, and that UCLA had to deliver a beating. CKD has deliver a similar message to the Bruins: beating USC is no longer just the capstone to a great season and perhaps a ticket to a BCS game. It must be done for the health of college football itself. Hygene requires it.

All I am saying...
Do you want me to tell you the story about how a certain UCLA basketball player broke into my friend's neighbor's apartment? I actually saw him at the scene an hour before it happened when he was on the street trying to find open car doors to break into. He was later taken in by the police. Do you think it was ever publicized? No. There's all kinds of things that aren't publicized.
All I am saying is that every college has this problem. You shouldn't be holier than thou because it will happen (and probably has happened) with a Bruin player.

That is so weak
Plus we are not trying to be all holier than thou. We are just pointing out a serious disease afflicting the Trojan football program, which right now is riddled with this disturbing pattern of criminal behavior. Yes, we get that we had our shares of problems. We had our problems under coaches like Harrick, Lavin, and Toledo. And, that is one of the main reasons all of those three coaches are gone. Right now UCLA programs are as clean as they can get. And, you can't say the same thing about Peetie's marry band of criminals.

Actually, he...
When I drove up to the neighborhood, he was checking car doors. He walked up to me and I said "Hey **" I know you. And we talked for a minute.
I picked up my buddy and then we left. Later, it turns out my buddy's roommate caught him breaking into the place next door.
He played under Lavin, actually.
I'm just saying, be a proud Bruin. But don't crow about some kids getting in trouble at USC. Because the pendulum will swing. It's the same thing I told USC people when they were crowing about UCLA problems.
Finally, I would hardly call PC's program a 'merry band of criminals'. How many guys on the team right now have had trouble? Two? Three maybe? Justice was suspended for a year. Wright was kicked off the team. Dennis' charges were dropped. And now Maualuga got in a fight. So how is USC suddenly Miami of the '90s?

Lavin of course ...
As for Peter Carroll, yes his program is out of control. It is evident in all the stories that have been coming out over last couple of years. By the way how did M get $20,000 am to post his bail? Gotta love that "Trojan family." And you are not going to any mercy from the Bruins when it comes to pouring gasoline on the stories of Trojan's rampant off-field problems, considering what your alums did when Paus/Foster stories came out. Payback is a bitch, and this is just the beginning.

You seem to be pretty well plugged in to the Trojie scene. Maybe you know who Herschell Dennis really took the fall for???
BTW, what ever happened to Herschell?

The difference in character? Not much. One just knows how to run a program better....and keep things under the radar.
