"University" of Southern [Ca] CRIMINALS

Seriously what will it take for the MSM to realize the pattern of out of control criminal behavior in Peter Carroll's USC program?  Yet another Trojan thug was arrested for assault and battery yesterday in Southern California:

Police arrested USC linebacker Rey Maualuga early Tuesday morning after he punched another student at an off-campus Halloween party.

Maualuga, 18, went to a party on 29th Street for Halloween attended by a large group of athletes and students. According to witnesses, Maualuga made a sarcastic comment to another student about his Halloween costume and when the student responded to the comment, Maualuga punched him.

He was arrested by Los Angeles police at the Cardinal Gardens apartment complex and taken to the Southwest Division station, where he was booked for misdemeanor assault and released on $20,000 bail.

"I've been told not to comment, I can't really say anything," Maualuga said after Tuesday's practice. "I'm just going to leave it in God's hands."
LMAO leave it in God's hands?  Like waiting for your pathetic head coach to bail you out again by making you run some laps around that practice field? Consider what has happened in Peter Carroll's out of control football program infested with thugs and alleged sexual criminals in just this year. From April 8, 2005:
USC tight end Dominique Byrd fractured his jaw during an alleged altercation with receiver Steve Smith last week, although few know about the incident because Byrd is academically ineligible for spring practice.

Byrd's jaw was wired shut following the altercation, which took place when the pair argued while playing a video game, according to sources. (Note: at least it was for a good reason)

"I don't have any comment on that," Smith said following Thursday's practice.

USC coach Pete Carroll also declined comment, although sources said he spoke to Smith about the incident. Smith was not punished and has not missed any practices.
And there was Eric Wright getting arrested for sexual assault back in March of this year:
Eric Wright, a starting cornerback on the football team who intercepted a pass in the Orange Bowl, was arrested early Saturday morning by the Los Angeles Police Department for allegedly sexually assaulting a female student in his apartment at Cardinal Gardens.
And that was the second sexual assault investigation involving USC football player in less than a year under Peter Carroll's watch.

When will it be enough information for the media to recognize something really disturbing is going on over at ole USC? Does Carroll really have any control over this program any more or has he basically become a Dennis Erickson in Miami version of college football coach, letting bunch of gangbangers, hoodlums, dominating this legendarily corrupt program who turned out to be thugs, rapists, and double murderers?

I mean it is absolutely appalling to see Shelley Smith of ESPN going ga ga over another sophomoric Halloween prank Carroll played on his players allowing his resident genius Lendell White to miss practice. No mention of the latest incident whatsoever in ESPN or anywhere else (in the national MSM).

It's time rest of the country needs to become aware that something is terribly rotten going over at USC.  Peter Carroll has lost all control as he is making mockery out of the concept of student athletes. Sick, pathetic, disgusting.  I wonder how parents let this kids be recruited by this morally bankrupt used car salesman?

Wow, Nestor - we agree on something!
I posted this on another board yesterday, before the Maluaga incident was public:

http://www.bruinzone.com/fb/messages/10644.shtml

Good god, the USC program is diseased...

Their Halloween prank yesterday (where Pete Carroll threw Lendale White out of practice and White "jumped" off a roof in full view of the media) is about the lamest, most sophomoric, frat-boy humor possible. This is a man that parents want guiding their children for four years?

Snoop Dog... OJ visits... topless fight songs... Victoria's Secret parties.. prank suicides... they've truly jumped the shark, IMO. The whole thing is getting just a bit... creepy.

Football should be fun, and Lord knows Carroll is good at making it that for his kids. But if I'm not mistaken, Pete Carroll technically ranks as an "instructor" at USC, just like the HC is at any school. He is their teacher, down to giving grades for their work. What Carroll is doing degrades the profession of teaching. He may cite John Wooden as an inspiration, but his actions demonstrate that he hasn't a clue the role a coach is supposed to play in his players' lives.

To hell with "no negative recruiting." There's an ethos at work here that's increasingly twisted, and it needs to be pointed out in stark terms to potential recruits.

In a famous incident, John Wooden told his team before a game that the was being led by a corrupt coach, and that UCLA had to deliver a beating. CKD has deliver a similar message to the Bruins: beating USC is no longer just the capstone to a great season and perhaps a ticket to a BCS game. It must be done for the health of college football itself. Hygene requires it.

LOL
We are all Bruins after all BB.  We bleed blue and gold.  But I am in 100 percent agreement with you.  I totally forgot about mentioing the panty raid Leinert and co. was involved in.  This is not a football program any more.  This is basically what Miami became back in the 90s.  And they are not just going to fall, they are going to crash and burn.  And I want KD and co. to sock it these motherfuckers on December 3rd.  I want UCLA students to rush that field and tear that goal post in the Moseleum and shove it up all thei collectives a**es. Enough is enough. SC is not a uninversity.  It is a joke, a charade.

come on
remember the Bruin basketball players in 95 after their title?  They were hobnobbing with stars at parties too.  At least USC football players aren't hobnobbing with mobsters, like Cade was.

And it's Leinart, not Leinert.

Leinart, Leinert what's the difference
Leinart, Leinert what's the difference.  He is just a fucking Trojan. And none of those UCLA basketball players after the 95 title assaulted their classmates on campus.  Did they party ...sure they did.  But they had common sense to understand to not attack/assault fellow students.  Trojan thugs posing as football players of course don't.

All I am saying...
...is that every college program has this problem.

Do you want me to tell you the story about how a certain UCLA basketball player broke into my friend's neighbor's apartment?  I actually saw him at the scene an hour before it happened when he was on the street trying to find open car doors to break into.  He was later taken in by the police.  Do you think it was ever publicized?  No.  There's all kinds of things that aren't publicized.

All I am saying is that every college has this problem.  You shouldn't be holier than thou because it will happen (and probably has happened) with a Bruin player.

by Heismanpundit on Nov 2, 2005 1:08 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

That is so weak
Comeon HP.  If you are going to implicate a former UCLA hoops player (playing under Harrick I take it), then at least try to get the story straight.  Was he trying to break into your "friend's neigbor"'s apt. or someone else's "car doors"?  That is just silly.

Plus we are not trying to be all holier than thou.  We are just pointing out a serious disease afflicting the Trojan football program, which right now is riddled with this disturbing pattern of criminal behavior.  Yes, we get that we had our shares of problems. We had our problems under coaches like Harrick, Lavin, and Toledo. And, that is one of the main reasons all of those three coaches are gone.  Right now UCLA programs are as clean as they can get.  And, you can't say the same thing about Peetie's marry band of criminals.

by Nestor on Nov 2, 2005 1:21 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Actually, he...
...was doing both.

When I drove up to the neighborhood, he was checking car doors.  He walked up to me and I said "Hey **"  I know you.  And we talked for a minute.

I picked up my buddy and then we left.  Later, it turns out my buddy's roommate caught him breaking into the place next door.

He played under Lavin, actually.

I'm just saying, be a proud Bruin.  But don't crow about some kids getting in trouble at USC.    Because the pendulum will swing.  It's the same thing I told USC people when they were crowing about UCLA problems.

Finally, I would hardly call PC's program a 'merry band of criminals'.  How many guys on the team right now have had trouble?  Two?  Three maybe?  Justice was suspended for a year.  Wright was kicked off the team.  Dennis' charges were dropped.  And now Maualuga got in a fight.  So how is USC suddenly Miami of the '90s?

by Heismanpundit on Nov 2, 2005 1:40 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Lavin of course ...
Of course that makes sense.  Lavin was complete douchebag, a scum sucking pile of dogshit.  He destroyed the UCLA basketball program, which Howland mercifully is slowly building back up and restoring normalcy in Westwood.

As for Peter Carroll, yes his program is out of control.  It is evident in all the stories that have been coming out over last couple of years.  By the way how did M get $20,000 am to post his bail? Gotta love that "Trojan family."  And you are not going to any mercy from the Bruins when it comes to pouring gasoline on the stories of Trojan's rampant off-field problems, considering what your alums did when Paus/Foster stories came out. Payback is a bitch, and this is just the beginning.

how do you know
that Maualuga's parents couldn't afford the bail, which I believe is just 10 per cent of the total?

They are from Eureka in N. California....what kind of assumptions are you making.

Just relax...I don't want you to hyperventilate!

Heismanpundit
What ever became of CJ Niusulu?  Just wondering.

KD kicked him off the team ...
Running laps doesn't cut it at UCLA.

by Nestor on Nov 2, 2005 11:07 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

But
how many times did he do his business before he was kicked off?  A few, I believe.

point being, these guys are at every school and I seem to remember a punch in the face every month in Westwood not long ago.

That is why Toledo was fired ...
UCLA football players being on crime blotters constantly was one of the main reason Toledo was fired (of course season ending meltdowns and blowout losses to SC were the other major ones).  UCLA administration were not willing to tolerate what was going on with the football program under Toledo.  And when they brought in Dorrell that was one of their main directives, clean up that mess. Dorrell got rid of whole bunch of Toledo recruits (CJ being one of them), who were talented athletes, but had these off field issues. He disciplines them by suspending them for games (after first offense) and eventually getting of rid of them. Before being completely kicked off the program CJ was being suspecnded for games. Will Peetie do the same thing in this case? He doesn't have the balls to.

I'm sure...
...that Maualuga will be suspended for games.

Count on it.

We are not holding our breath ...
I am sure Pom Pom will ask his "players committee" and ask they how he should disciple student mauling Maulauga.  Gotta love the players's coach.  Lavin was a players' coach too.

Only because...
...he's not a starter or major contributor.

You seem to be pretty well plugged in to the Trojie scene. Maybe you know who Herschell Dennis really took the fall for???

BTW, what ever happened to Herschell?

I know
both Lavin and Howland.  Personally.

The difference in character?  Not much.  One just knows how to run a program better....and keep things under the radar.

Keep throwing dirt at Howland ...
without substantiating any of it.
