ESPN Power 16 Week 10
From the diaries.- N
Just came out, UCLA at #12, below 13-4 Michigan State?? Last week's poll, and of course, the individual "moron" picks.
Biggest "surprise"?
13-4 Michigan State is ranked higher than us. Huh? They lose two games, win 1 over a short-handed and overrated Indiana, while we win 2, but the "experts" still think they're better.
Why? Here's some choice quotes:
Howie Schwab: "Every time you blink, there is another surprise. I am still getting over last weekend's Washington loss to Washington State."
Ass clown barely even recognizes P-10 exists, leaving us out entirely, putting Washington at 13, but giving Indiana a handjob by actually moving them up from 10 to 8 after their ass-raping by Michigan St just one day before dumbass put his poll together.
Duke Vitale: "The Big Ten is so much better this season and three schools from that conference are in my top eight -- Indiana, Illinois and Ohio State."
Huh? What the hell is he talking about? Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that the NCAA is only Duke and the Big 10. BTW, he moves Indiana to #4.
Jay Bilas: "I still can't figure out what a Power 16 really is ... is it a projection of which teams will be the best or a reflection of this week's scores? Heck, if there is no projection in it, who needs it? All you have to do is look at records. For me, it is a combination of both schools of thought. I try to consider how good a team really is, balanced with how they have played this particular week -- and I do it all in less than three minutes. That's what I think of polls ..."
Obviously. You are definitely an idiot.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

About the poll
I think Indiana is overrated, and that Washington is not as good as people think (though they will still challenge for the Pac-10 regular season title).
As for Bilas, I am normally not a fan, but I think what he says is a valid point: This stuff really isn't that important, and most people spend like 3 minutes on it anyway, so don't take it too seriously.
And like I said before, even though Florida is undefeated, they really haven't beaten anyone, and the SEC has no other ranked teams, which means their regular season probably won't be too bad either. I guess it is fair to put them up above teams that have lost, but I'm sure they will come crashing back to reality.
I think UCLA should be ranked anywhere between 8 and 13, but I would have to take a better look and try to rank the teams before I can make a stronger argument.
