Around SBN: Notre Dame's Turnaround: How Have The Irish Done It?

Back from ND

Much to Achilles' chagrin, I have to say that the trip to South Bend was one of the best sports-related experiences of my life. You will not find a more hospitable and respectful fan than the faithful at Notre Dame Stadium. Beautiful campus, great fans, and one of the best college football atmospheres you can even imagine. When ND comes to the Rose Bowl next year, I hope the ND fans come away with a similar impression.

I have alot more to write about my trip to South Bend, but I'm still trying to take account of what I witnessed Saturday.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

agreed...
the ppl of south bend and nd fans alike were great.  yes i know its easy to be nice especially after your team won, but even before the game the ushers and even fans always said hello and wlcome to notre dame.  the parts of campus i saw were beautiful and so was the weather.  it was a great trip that sadly couldnt be capped off by a win.  i think we were lucky to play in a place like that with the history and all the positives that surround it.  where else will you hear over the PA of mass being held 45 min after the game?  again great fans and atomosphere just really, really, disappointing game.

ND fans
Overwhelming majority of ND fans I have ever met off line or interacted with online have been nothing but classy.

I think whay took me back was to read a lot of comments from Bruin fans basically conveying the sense that there was just happy to be at South Bend, kind of like how KD was just happy experience that game.

I think that's where the irritation came from.

And as for the Irish hate - nothing wrong with having a little of that. Hey that's what happens with great teams with great traditions.

Looking forward to read your whole take man.
