Maxwell Pundit (aka the Blog Heisman) Week 8
Continuing with our weekly voting on Maxwell Pundit. Here are my 5 choices for the MVP from week 8:
Troy Smith, QB, Ohio State: I know this is a boring pick but I am sticking too it. Smith has been the top choice in this space pretty much the whole season long, and after yet another precise and efficient performance to the tune of completing 15 of 23 passes for 220 yards and 4 TDs, Smith stays on top of this list. His season number to date are 21 TDs, 2 picks, completing almost 70 percent of his passes (193 attempts) throwing for more than 1700 yards.
Steve Slaton, RB, West Virginia: SS had another solid weekend on the road in Joementum's home state, rushing for 128 yards and 1 TD, against UConn. Slaton now has over 1059 yards rushing, averaging more than 7 yards a carry, and 9 TDs. It will be interesting to see how he does against Louisville.
Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame: Who is Brady Quinn? I have never heard of Brady Quinn
Mike Hart, RB, Michigan: Hart continues to be a workhorse for the Wolverines. He went over 100 yards yet again (for the7th time in his 8 games) helping the Wolverines to pull out a classic grinding Big-10 win over Iowa. He also has gone over 1000 yard mark this season (averaging 4.82 yards a carry) and 8 TDs.
Ian Johnson, RB, Boise State: Boise State is 8-0 and Ian Johnson is one of the main reason. Johnson is having a spectacular season rushing for 1181 yards (averaging 6.99 yards a carry), and a mind boggling 18 TDs. He is now coming off back to back 4TD performances (New Mexico State and Idaho) and although his numbers are piling up against mid-major opponents, with those kind of stats you do have to take note.
Had the Bruins won last weekend I would have inserted Justin Hickman in this list.
If there are others who are worthy of top-5 mention, please let me know in this thread.
GO BRUINS.

Ian Johnson
Good call placing Ian Johnson in your top 5. His jaw dropping stats can't be ignored especially when Boise State is ranked 15th in the nation.
