Bruce Davis calls out CorStreit on ESPN

"They overlooked us--they thought they were on their way to the National Championship. Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit--We had another thing comin'. Thank you, and that's all I got to say!"

I love me some bruins!
JUST THE BEST!  The guy who won the trivia question is a close second to this quote!  For those of you not at the game, the trivia winner not only had the answer to the question (Skip Hicks winning touchdown in overtime in 1996), adding his own comment about Southern Cal being the "University of Second Choice"!  Priceless!

Perfectly said
Bruce Davis made his point about the CorStreit idiots perfectly. He made his point succinctly, emphatically, and without profanity - all in a classy fashion. That is exactly how public comments should me made - what a great rep for the bruin nation.

He sounds like a really smart kid
You know, just another smart Bruin.

That's how we do it in Westwood.

Unlike Chauncey "I'm so fucking dumb I have all my textbooks put on audiotape because I can't read" Washington.

Seriously, Chauncey can't read.  His books are all put on audiotape by his teammates.  How funny/sad is that.

Moron.

Go Bruins...F@#$% Southern Cal... UCLA Fight Fight Fight!

by HomeBruin on Dec 3, 2006 1:10 AM PST   0 recs

Chauncey
You're surprised he can't read?  I'm sure he's by no means alone.  I'm just surprised he had enough teammates who could read to put his books on audio.

But he'll still graduate.  The personnel vary from year to year, but sc is ALWAYS the same.  To it's very soulless core.

That is truly sad
I don't like SUC, but if Washington can't read that is really sad and you gotta feel bad for the guy. Hopefully, the idiots over there can at least teach him to read by the time he leaves.

Reminds me of Dexter Manley
He confessed several years ago that he got through college without being able to read.

Here is my 2nd post here from 9/18/06!!
I copied and pasted this . . .

thank goodness i have a dvr
I think I listened to what Herbstreet said about 8 times, just to take it in and make sure that's what he said.  The other color guy (not sure who that was) even replied "ohhhhh . . . !!" letting him know he thought that was an interesting comment.  Herbstreet after that guys remark said it AGAIN.  If it wasn't for my dvr, i wouldn't have been able to get upset as much as I did.  Let's hope the coaches and players take that comment to heart.  And what Carroll said about the defense, in regards to our new DC taking the job.

That's Herby during the SC Nebraska broadcast, on UCLA's chances of beating SC.  No chance at all he said.  Dipshit.

LOL!!  Thank you Bruce Davis.  Kirk Herbstreit you suck, and so do you Mr. Humanitarian Carroll for thinking this defense was uncoachable.  HA!!

More great quotes from Davis:
In this SI article from Aresh Markazi:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/arash_markazi/12/03/usc.ucla/1.html

"We just wanted it more than they did," said UCLA defensive end Bruce Davis. "You could tell at the start of the second half that they knew that too. Our defensive front was teeing off on them and I don't think they knew how fast we were.

"I remember getting down in my stance and looking into the eyes of their left tackle Sam Baker and his eyes were so big. I just told him, 'You're going to need some help because I'm coming.' I did and Booty was never comfortable. They probably wish they had some help right about now."

"I got a two words for them," said Davis. "Ha ha!"

I think this guy is my new favorite player!

I was on the phone with Mr. BB
When this aired.  He laughed so hard.  We have the Victory Bell back.  All is right with the world.

Bruce Davis coming out with gems
left and right:

"That was saying, `Hey, they think they're going to come in our home and take over?"' defensive end Bruce Davis said of the scene in which Trojans players came bouncing onto the field during a television timeout and Bruins players came bouncing out to meet them. "It doesn't work like that, not in our house. You're not going to intimidate us. We'll do it right back at you."

HerbStain
Kirk Herbsreit is a used colonoscopy kit.  Honk honk honk for Ohio State and Midwest dull football.  Ohio State, with its powerhouse schedule of Bowling Green, Southern Illinois, Cincinnati and a weak-ass Texas team (3 losses, at last count).
Li'l Kirky has trashmouthed the Bruins all season. Eat a big plate of crow-crap kirky shopvac.

looking at the picture
on the diary post with all the high def pictures from McNeal's interception...Bruce davis wrote on his glove "PROVE THEM WRONG" and "FOR THE FAMILY"

Kirk Herbsreit
Well no offense but Ohio State is the best team in the country, so if Kirk Herbsreit is kissing their ass, I don't blame him. Their is no way in hell Florida beats that team, the only team that can is Michigan and they won't get a chance.

Also, come on, can you blame no one giving us a chance in the Media? I mean we have lost 7 years in a row, and our head coach hasn't won a big game before. So do actually believe any announcer in the country is going to pick UCLA over USC?

Now we know why they play the games, but if I wasn't a bruin and just normal college football fan, I wouldn't believe UCLA would win before the game.

So lets enjoy this great victory!

Also, I do like Kirk Herbsreit he is a great analyst and he isn't biased. He watches the games and makes his predication, just like everyone else.
