So Much for KD's 'Character' Program (MJD charged)

To say that I am disappointed in reading this would be an understatement. From CBS Sportsline:

Chicago Bears cornerback Ricky Manning Jr. and two former UCLA football players were charged with assault Thursday for allegedly taking part in an early morning fight at a restaurant last month.

Manning was charged with one count of assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury, Deputy District Attorney Karen Murcia said.

His arraignment was scheduled for Thursday afternoon. Manning has previously declined comment.

Manning, a former UCLA star, was arrested April 23, along with former Bruins Tyler Ebell and Maurice Drew, after they allegedly attacked a man at a restaurant near the UCLA campus in Westwood.

Police said the players then drove off in Manning's SUV but were pulled over by officers soon after when the vehicle was spotted by a helicopter crew.

All three were released on $30,000 bail each.

So much for Karl Dorrell cleaning up the underbelly and installing "character" in the UCLA football program.

It's official. Nothing has changed since UCLA fired Bob Toledo. Karl Dorrell's program is turning into just another nightmare.

Perhaps its time ..

We make a list of alleged transgressions by UCLA football players during the Dorrell era (may be a SC alum can beat us to it):

MJD helping Ricky out to beat up some poor kid with a laptop at Dennys
Ward and Hale alleged to be involved at a house party off campus;
C J Niasulu getting suspended from the team;
Darrick Williams getting suspended from the team;
Medlock getting himself in a stupid DUI

Will have to find those articles when Toledo was fired. I remember one of the reasons Gurrero gave was Toledo was let go because of the existence of "unhealthy environment" around UCLA football due to all the off field issues during the Toledo era.

Now we have the face of post Toledo era getting arrested for an off campus assault.

This just goes to show how UCLA has been a fucking miserable failure since the departure of Bob Toledo.

This is Dorrell's program. MJD represents the best of what Dorrell had to offer. If this is true ... this will reflect badly not only on MJD but also on Dorrell, not to mention UCLA.

Thanks Dorrell for disgracing this institution. Thanks a lot.
