100 More Days ...

Yes I am keeping track of the countdown clock.

Just 100 days left 'till our season opener at the Rose Bowl. And it looks like the Utah fans are conceding a loss:

Should Lose:

UCLA - As much as I'd love for this to be a toss-up, I'm confident in saying Utah won't be favored heading into the game. The Utes may upset the Bruins, but it will be a difficult challenge and one I'm not sure Utah is ready to do right now. Of course, this game isn't a sure loss and so the possibility is there, it's just not a big enough of one to warrant placing in the toss-up category.

If UCLA loses this game, it will be Karl Dorrell's CSUN moment (then again one can argue he already has had multiple of those moments in disgraceful losses against USC, Fresno State, Wyoming, Arizona .... you get the picture).

Anyways ... can't wait for this:

GO BRUINS.

If KD can't beat Utah at home

it's doubtful he can beat Oregon in Eugene, or Notre Dame in South Bend, or Cal in Berekley, or ASU in Tempe. Throw in USC at home. that's 6-6. Say goodnight Gracie...

What about this scenario?

What if we limp into the SC game with a record of something like 5-6 looking atrocious along the way.

But then somehow pull of a win over an 8-3 SC team (haven't looked at their schedule yet ... so don't exactly how many games they are playing before taking on us) at the Rose Bowl.

So you will then have a 6-6 UCLA team with a win over SC.

I say in a scenario like that Dorrell still should be fired (just like SC fired Hackett even after he beat UCLA and ND in the same season).

Well, a 6-6 team means that KD finished

in 5th place or lower for the third time in 4 years. That's not close to "competeing for the conference championship every year (DG's criteria) I think the Hackett analogy is a good one. But I don't think DG agrees with us.
