Dorrell gets a 5 year extension

From the article:

"We are excited about the direction of the program," athletic director Dan Guerrero said. "Karl is an outstanding leader, and we feel the future of UCLA football is very bright with him in control."

and

"There is no place I would rather be coaching than at UCLA," said Dorrell, a wide receiver at the school during his playing days. "My goal, and the goal of our staff, players and administration, is to keep building this program to the level necessary to compete for the Pac-10 title every year and contend for the national championship."

Sounds like Guerrero jumped the gun here. I would have been a lot more satisfied if he waited until the end of this year, in which Dorrell should win 9 games and beat SC.
