Great Example of a Classy Guy from justsc
I don't think a comment about someone from justsc is off topic here. In the Chicago-New Orleans game which is still proceeding as I type this, New Orleans just scored on a long pass to reggie bush.
Someone in the BN who roots for the Saints mentioned that he or she thought that reggie had been a class act in New Orleans, etc., etc., and she was prepared to give him a pass even though his professional career at sc (i.e., when he and his family were getting paid for his football skills) was what it was and even though he had all the off-the-field issues. He or she (can't remember who his champion was) thought he had redeemed himself.
I took issue with that (and I still do, but that's not the point.) I said then that reggie got no pass on anything until he told the truth about his play-for-pay at Figueroa Tech.
I think I have been vindicated in connection with reggie's classiness. On his long touchdown reception, he could have just run it into the end zone (given that his team was still trailing), but no. reggie could not bring himself to do that. He chose instead to point at the Bears who were chasing him and then do a flip into the endzone.
A real class act. (His team is now behind by 11 instead of two. I suppose he'll pull out a sharpie if he gets a first down.)
Once a trOJan, always a trOJan. He must have taken some classes in classiness from Timmeh.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

Maybe they'll interview him after the game

Glad you brought it up
The local media will cream themselves over that play all night and tomorrow morning. At least it was all for not.

LT has his moments, too
Gee - a Charger does a dance to show up an opponent. That's great sportsmanship. But when an opponent does the same dance, that's somehow wrong?
I thought LT was a model citizen until that story came out. But now it looks like he's no different that many other pro athletes - no sense of perspective.
There were lots of classy guys in the Patriots-Colts game. LT could learn something from some of them.

La Dainian
LaDainian respects the game and his opponents; he never goes out of his way to show anyone up. Your assertion that LaDainian is no different "than many pro athletes" is way off base.
Anyways this is a Bruin blog and our insults should be directed towards those a$$holes across town.

I'm with you 50%
I don't think it was classy for anyone on NE to be doing any sort of taunting. But I surely don't think that LT has any legitimate reason for being upset until he confronts his own teammates and gets in their faces for taunting.
But the main point - and one with which I will always agree - is that this blog is about the BN. We cannot ignore justsc, any more than we can ignore the neighbor's dog who leaves piles on our lawn. Once KD is gone, we can direct all of our comments in their direction.

Not sure I quite get your point
I can personally attest that LaDainian is a gentleman both on and off the field. He is a true role model. I really don't know what you have against him, unless you are a Raider fan, in which case it is pointless to try and reason with you.
Anyways, that's all I have to say about that.

Arrgh
I don't know LT at all, except for what I saw on TV. I had no reason to think he was anything other than a great player, and was shocked to see him really go off the deep end.
I know I have more chance of personally persuading KD to resign than I have to campaign about getting rid of the "Look at Me" dances after a good play (or even an average play.) I accept that it's a given.
My lament was that LT seemed to be a bit hypocritical getting so upset when the other team only did what his own team did.
You obviously have more knowledge than I about him, which is fine with me. Frankly I prefer to think that he's a classy guy. That is always the persona I thought he exhibited, and that's why I found it so surprising to see him so upset about what seems to be trivial conduct, given the widespread acceptance of that kind of "in your face" conduct. In any event, I gladly defer to your superior knowledge of LT's character on this. (But please, don't call me a raider. That hurt.)

Ogunleye agrees with you
"I told Reggie that was unprofessional of him to do that." Ogunleye said. "I think he's going to be a hell of a player in this league. But for him to point back and taunt, that was no class. ... I swear, I was a second away from punching him."
