RN's Press Conference

A Must Listen for All Bruins

Star-divide

I just finished listening to RN's press conference on the 570 Instant Replay.

If you were an RN supporter you will love this press conference. If you were not, you will love this press conference. Anyone who listens should come away certain that he fully appreciates this job and that he will do everything, in the right way, to bring us back to excellence.

I was moved by the words, inflection and obvious emotion.

I love his depth, commitment, his sense of humor, and his humility.

I found particularly touching his remarks about Karl Dorrell. Yes, KD is a part of UCLA and always will be. I am pleased he is no longer our coach; but I am also pleased that RN will make him feel good about his time here and will keep him close to the family.

And, for those who have been so critical of Bob Field, it was good to know that he worked to bring RN to DG and to us.

RN was such a great choice.

If any media person goes after RN, after this, he is an advocate and not a reporter.

This is a mature man of good character and I'm glad he's ours.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

I was very moved
by that presser.  I pulled my car over to listen quietly and he said everything genuinely and perfect.  I loved particularly when he told the Dorrell story, the Rick Sharpe tide end story and then at the end he put an exclamation on the whole thing saying we were going to get even with those guys across town.  Great moment for UCLA and the UCLA football.

Go Bruins!

Not only a good coach, but a great teacher..
"as long as I am in charge of this program, we're going to speak of Karl Dorrell in reverent tones."
His incredibly gracious words about Karl Dorrell have certainly taught me the importance of healing wounds and forgiving members of the Bruin family. There is no question these will be the interesting times that we are always told we should live in.

Very Proud
When I heard that Rick Neuheisel was coming home to UCLA I was elated.  I had sat in the bleachers at practice and watched him as a young assistant coach and felt that he had a special talent.  Now after watching his introduction as the head coach and coming home my perceptions about him have been affirmed. This press conference was one for the ages and should be shown to all Bruins and non-Bruins as well as an example of genuine humility, kindness, commitment, forgiveness and respect.  There is no question that he is the right choice and win or loose  I will support him knowing that he will be the best of the best.  UCLA should be proud.  For those that don't really know, don't underestimate Rick Neuheisel.
