Grobe (Wake Forest) Will 'Listen'

May be BN should put up Jim Grobe's name in their main page poll?

Look what I found in the Charlotte Observer (bold mine):

Nebraska's hiring of Bo Pelini quashed the rumors that Grobe would take his clever offense to Cornhuskers country. After Louisiana State's Les Miles turned down Michigan, Grobe was mentioned as a possible candidate for the Wolverines on media Web sites such as the Sporting News and the Detroit Free Press.

Monday, Grobe said he is happy at Wake Forest but didn't rule out listening to officials from other schools who want to talk to him about jobs.

"I'm happy here," he said. "I think our fans understand that. I don't know that there's not another move for me, but I'm not out chasing that move around. I'm not going after it. I'm not opposed to talking to people if they're interested in what we've done here at Wake Forest, but we've got a good situation at Wake Forest."

Grobe, 55, is 45-39 in seven seasons at Wake Forest, which for the first time is appearing in a bowl for the second consecutive season. The Deacons (8-4) won the ACC and played in the Orange Bowl last season, and will meet Connecticut (9-3) at 1 p.m. on Dec. 29 in the Meineke Car Care Bowl at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium.

According to a Sporting News report, Grobe spoke informally with Nebraska athletics director Tom Osborne about that job. Grobe wouldn't comment about any specific job, but acknowledged he has been approached by other schools this year and in the past.

He said his only concern about staying in one place for a long time is the possibility that a coach can get complacent and not feel invigorated and challenged in the job.

"Then it's time to move on," Grobe said, "but I can tell you right now, we feel pretty well challenged at Wake Forest."

More on Grobe in wiki.

So was this the guy N hinted at a while ago?

I don't have a favorite but he sounds pretty good to me too.

Go Bruins!!
