Southern Cal Does It Again

So, after a grueling day in Senora Ross' class, I took my chauffeur-driven limousine over to Medici for some free internet access.  And what did I discover?  A full moon rising.

No, not that kind either.

It seems that our friends at Southern Cal have found a new way of embarrassing themselves this week.  This time, it was the men's hockey teams' turn, as goalie Mickey Meyer responded to a 6-4 loss to BYU with pure Trojan class.  Yes, Mr. Meyer melted down and bared his a$$.  Per the AP report:

Mickey Meyer rode his stick like a horse, dropped his bulky pants, mooned the crowd and slapped his buttocks during a game against Brigham Young University, police said.

He was ejected and ticketed for lewdness, a misdemeanor, after an officer who was working security at the rink said he witnessed the scene Saturday.

"I had my fill of these refs," Meyer said on an Internet broadcast of the game, according to The Herald-Journal of Logan.

Meyer's antics occurred while play was stopped and referees were trying to sort out penalties in the third period of a consolation game in the ACHA West Regional tournament at Eccles Ice Center.

The junior from Clinton, N.Y., was "riding his hockey stick like a horse and slapping his butt," North Park Officer Mike Stauffer said in a report.

After pulling down his pants, Meyer slapped his bare bottom several times, Stauffer said.

At least he wasn't caught cheering after the other team scored.

And here's more from Deadspin.

I could say more, but it just ain't fair.  It's like shooting fish in a barrel, folks.

GO BRUINS.

Yikes...
I have family that are hardcore $uC supporters. They were always saying how "Matty is such a nice Catholic Mater Dei boy."

Uh, yeah. Those four years paid off.

I'm just sitting here shaking my head
He'll probably have Daddums buy Utah so he can fire the deputy who gave him the ticket.

(A friend of mine long ago mooned a car while playing softball, and learned that it screwed up his efforts to get into law school.  You can bet that the justsc law machine will grind into high gear to make sure the little moonie suffers no adverse consequences for acting like a typical trOJan.)

Was this
at BYU or at SC?  Not that it really matters, but still...

Impressed due to the degree of difficulty
Being a Canadian I obviously played hockey, and I in fact played goaltender.  I am impressed with this guys cognitive abilities to get his hockey pants down during a game.  There is a lot of equipment a goalie wears, with many straps and buckles!  To do that on skates takes a very "special" talent.  My hats off to him!

In all fairness...
If he wasn't in college, this would be pretty funny. Right out of Slapshots! But as it is...stupid.

Can't believe we missed this letter last week.
As included in last Saturday's Times:

<url>http://www.latimes.com/sports/custom/letters/la-sp-lettersfolo17.1feb17,1,7346094.story?coll=la-head lines-sports-letters<url>

<quot>So now Joe McKnight misspoke. Dwayne Jarrett mis-stayed at a luxury apartment. Reggie Bush mis-rented a house. Rey Maualuga mis-owned the police.

Isn't it time to consider calling USC a champion a mis-take?

Alta Loma<quot>

Classic.  I'm assuming Mickey Meyer will now claim to have mis-mooned.
