Kevin and Bean show disses UCLA

Anyone else hear Matt "Money" Smith on the Kevin and Bean Show this morning? He said nobody was interested in UCLA basketball because they play a boring workman like style. DID HE SEE THE KANSAS GAME???  He then said fans were waiting to see how we did against Florida to decide whether to support the team, because we were disappointed last season (????). That was the dumbest thing I ever heard. NOBODY thought we would make it to the championship game last season. Everybody I know was very excited about last season, and equally excited about this season. Just shows what an ignoramus he is.

The worst part was he then goes on to talk about how crazy Howland is, and says he yelled at reporters at a press conference. He claimed BH wasn't even supposed to be there, but interrupted the press conference for his players. He then mentioned the CBS Sportsline article calling Howland an Ahole and agreed with it.

His whole take was wrong on so many levels, it was disgusting. Unfortunately, neither Kevin nor Bean know crap about sports, so they just nodded along. I thought the whole thing was simply ridiculous. It is amazing how people report hearsay without knowing anything.

I'm gonna try to call his show this afternoon and straighten him out. I suggest fellow bruins do the same. GO BRUINS!!!

Kevin and Bean...
have been played out for years. Those guys are part of what makes radio suck. Thank God for my iPod.

Kevin broadcasted from my sorority house
Right before the game against Southern Cal in 1998 (I got on TV).  Needless to say, I don't listen to them on the way into work.  No matter.  I love being the underdog.

KROQ Hasn't Mattered Since . . .
the Poor Man invented "Love Lines," Richard Blade was under 50 years old, and the motto was "KKKK-r-r-r-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH-CUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeee, rock of the 80s and 90s."

Matt "Money" Smith is a jackass....
For those of you who don't live in the Southern California area, Matt "Money" Smith co-hosts a sports radio show on AM 570 on weekday afternoons with none other that jackass with Southern Cal heritage Petros Papadouchebag. What sucks about this is that AM 570 proclaims itself to be the "Home of the Bruins." I can't quite figure out why they have a guy like Papadouchebag on the air babbling on about the most random, insignificant stuff. Either way, I think Petros and Matt are both jackasses and I would much rather listen to the grinding sounds of L.A. traffic than tune into their show on my way home from work. Their topics and arguments lack inspiration and intelligence; Getting their take on a basketball game or anything to do with sports is just a waste of time.

Hmmm
That's kind of strange, because I heard Money say on his radio show (yes, I do listen to PMS on AM 570, but just for the interviews, since I can't stand Petros) say quite a few times that he doesn't find UCLA's style boring.  I bet that either what he said on Kevin and Bean or what he said on his own show was just to provide controversy.

Matt Smith is honestly bad radio
Let me start by saying this.  We should all write to UCLA Sports Information Director Marc Dellins and let him know that this effin clown at "The Home of UCLA" AM 570 radio is ripping our basketball program WHILE WE ARE IN THE FINAL FOUR!!  That is mind blowing.

I never liked Matt Smith's radio voice or personality. Its bland and flat and monotone.  There is never any inflection. The only changes you hear in his voice is when he speaks louder. I always thought that he would be gone pretty quickly .. he just is not interesting in the least. Im still surprised he is on the air.

But my disinterest in him has changed. If he said this, he deserves to be flogged.  To rip UCLA like this is irresponsible.  Smith works for UCLA's station!!!! WTF??!! What a complete ass.  Hwo the eff does he know "no one is interested in UCLA?" Every poll on the FF games show that everyone is more interested in the Florida UCLA rematch than Ohio State Georgetown.  What an ass. He wont last long because of his flat monotone voice and personality but I am going to push for this guy to get fired earlier. We all should.  Write to SID Marc Dellins.

odd.
I've heard him numerous times on his daily show rooting for the Bruins and praising Coach Howland. In fact, I heard him say that the UCLA-Indiana game WAS NOT A UGLY game, contrary to what the "experts" on ESPN were saying. I can't believe he would go on Kevin and Bean and do a 180...I know that Bean is a 'SC fan, is it possible Bean was the ripping on the Bruins and not Money?
