Congrats To Oregon State

The Oregon St. Beavers concluded an unlikely tournament run tonight with a victory over North Carolina to win their 2nd consecutive NCAA Baseball Championship. The Beavers were one of the last teams to get in to the field of 64 and needed the series win they got against UCLA in the final series of the season to get in. Once in the tournament they took care of their regional and then Michigan in the Super Regional. Then in Omaha they went a perfect 5-0 to win the title and bring the Pac 10 its 25th NCAA baseball championship.

With Oregon St. winning in Omaha the past 2 seasons, it leaves UCLA and Washington as the only Pac 10 schools without a College World Series win, but it looks like Coach Savage is well on his way to get UCLA's name off that list. The Pac 10 sent 2 teams to Omaha this season, matched only by the Big West so weast coast baseball is strong and will continue to be so next season when hopefully our Bruins can dogpile on the mound at Rosenblatt Stadium.

Again, congratulations Beavers and well done representing the Pac 10. Thank you for giving us a chance to watch your magical run.
