Timmy's Falling on the Sword Saves Mayo 6 Game Suspension

Per Yahoo! Sports.

Star-divide

By admitting complicity, Timmy saved Juice Deuce at least a 6-game suspension. That seems like quite a big difference in penalty since NCAA rules were still violated: link.

Timmeh's Credibility Gap
I believe Coach Timmeh originally claimed that he was not aware of the situation and then changed his story to say he approved of JuiceDeuce taking the tickets.  In the meantime, there probably was a discussion with the non-compliance person in the $C athletic department.  So, let me see if I understand.  JuiceDeuce is partying with "Melo" at all hours of the night and Melo offers him tickets.  JuiceDeuce gets on the cell phone (at 2 AM?) with Timmeh to ask if it is okay if he takes them.  Timmeh says "okay."  As the late car painting czar Earl Scheib might say, "Riiiiiiight!"

BTW, is this a "lose-lose" situation for $C?  By admitting that they approved the free tickets for JuiceDeuce shouldn't that implicate the institution in an NCAA violation?  I'm not holding my breath to see what sanctions are handed down!  And as I've said before, I think free Laker tickets are the tip of the iceberg in the JuiceDeuce travesty.

personally I don't care that much.
In this instance, I believe OJ2 had a pre-existing relationship with Carmelo, so I don't fault him for it.  SC's response was typical, and while they may be in the wrong, I'd rather see the NCAA investigate Bush.

Plus I can't get fired up over them after the poor showing a week ago.

I'm shocked!
Oh, wait this is the NCAA. The same institution that has sat on its hands for going on 3 years in the Reggie Bush case.

Can't blame them
No one is talking in the Bush case, and Lloyd Lake is finally busting the thing wide open.  When Lake's lawyer deposes Bush, hes going to have to officially answer for his breaches of NCAA rules and that will KABOOM the trOJies.  Give it time, some are estimating that in mid-February the Bush case will be over.
