Around SBN: Jeremy Lin's Game-Winner Was Incredible, Worth Remembering

JustSC Video Package

Due to previous commitments I couldn't see the game live, but here are video highlights.

First off, this is what I like to see at the end of a game:

Great to see the togetherness and mutual respect between Love and DC.

On to the game highlights.

Star-divide

The black uni's were apropos as it certainly was a blackout night, esspecially for T.O. Mayo (thanks LA Seitz). Let's start with his miserable 2-8 bricklaying night of futility:

He did manage to have a sparkling game-leading double-digit stat (earning him his new initials), single-handedly beating UCLA 10-9 in that category:

I had to split this into two videos he had so many:

Westbrook gets the credit for running around all night denying, stealing the ball a couple of times and just pestering T.O. all night. Love got into the act too, accounting for half of Mayo's turnovers, with five steals of his own.

Ugly win, but perfect preparation for tournament play. The team needs to have confidence to be able to win big, small and in between. Bruins video package follows.

From dirty floyd...
"Fatigue wasn't a factor," Floyd said. "They did a good job with Westbrook on O.J. He had his struggles. I'm sure there were some plays he'd like back. O.J. was probably not 100 percent, but we're not using injuries as an excuse."

So why even mention it then Timmehhhh?  Of course you're gonna use it as an excuse...otherwise you wouldn't even bother to bring it up...typical.

From T.O., (the player formerly known as O.J.)
"I don't think my groin had anything to do with my decisions with the ball," he said. "I played pretty good defense on myself with all the turnovers. I just didn't play well. Sometimes it happens."

He played good defense on himself???  uh no, he got OWNED by the guy playing across from him all night...

Mr. BB sent that to me this morning
His response, "So Westbrook twiddled his thumbs all night?"

You can never have too many AKAs
My 12-year son called him NO J all night.

No J
HAHAHA Thats classic. Especially in light of the video showing how many of those 3 balls he missed.

He Played Good Offense on Himself Too
You can see on those highlights how many of our points came directly off O.J. turnovers.

If you have time at all ... is there any way you can take a look at 3:30 mark of the first half. I think it was around the 3:30 mark. KL got a shot blocked by Gibson. When KL fell Gibson then immediately came down with a thuggish cheap shot right in the back of KL's head. It was unbelievable that nothing got called or no one saw it.

If you can spot it ... it would be great if you can post it on its own.

I think that kind of stuff should be sent straight to the Pac-10.

Gibson didn't throw a punch
But the punk did give a one-arm shove to Love to the ground. There were a lot of hacks and cheap shots by  the trojans that were not called by incompetent Pac-10 refs. I must say though in 2 games, Blow J isn't as much of a punk as his teammates are.

I agree
OJ patted Russell on the back for good defense at least once I saw.

Thank you so much! I had to miss the second half (and only could hear AM 570 for the first 3 minutes of the second half), so I really appreciate seeing these videos.

So late on a Sunday out here!  Thank you for bringing the Love!
Vaya con dios.

I love that
DC is a great kid, running over to hug his center.  This team is getting closer and that leads to great things, like San Antonio for example.
