Good Mojo for Bruins
Let's get some positive mojo going for our Bruins as they're headed for Phoenix and a Sweet Sixteen game against the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky University.
In town for a game against the Lakers, former Bruin Baron Davis gave his thoughts on UCLA's chances in the tournament. See the video here.
Meanwhile, some are concerned with Josh Shipp. To that, I invoke the power of the mojo videos. And lest anyone forget what a champion warrior Shipp is, I submit only the latest proof for the "what have you done for me lately," crowd.
Yes, the team has some issues to work out. But unlike the teams under the CHP, this one doesn't fold. It has an actual coach and you know no matter the outcome, the team will leave it on the court.
Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.

Josh and the media
He is sick with Strep Throat, and still had the will and energy at the end of the game to block the potentially tying basket. The guy is a warrior, regardless of whether his shot is falling. He deserves our 100% support as long as he is out there working hard. I am so tired of all the hater.
The daily news has an article by Doug Krikorian on how Coach Howland doesn't know how to use kevin love properly. I just laugh my ass off at how successful CBH has been the last three years, yet still gets second guessed all the time. Nobody second guesses Pete Carrol, whose program has clearly slipped the last three years. The media double standard is just unbearable.

FWIW
Hmm - staying within the rules, having character guys on the team, and still having the record that Coach Howland has. Nah, it can't be possible. You can't win 88% of your games over three years without cheating. All you have to do is ask Cheatie Petie.

Once Again, Tele
It's amazing to me, too, silverlake, that so many people feel free to question CBH's decisions and coaching all the time. I'll bet nobody is laughing harder about not being "used properly" than KL. It's just so ridiculous, in light of Howland's succcess--and I don't just mean his winning record, I mean his all-around success with each player he's coached. When he says, "The thing I love about our team is that they know in their heart they're always going to win the game...They're going to find a way," he actually knows that. He's not just a great coach, he's a great teacher, and a great example.
Actually, "Riders on the Storm" is pretty applicable, I think.
