Possible Match-ups vs. Memphis

Memphis' starting five and which Bruin players can match up with them

Derrick Rose 6-3 guard:
    Collison 6-0, Westbrook 6-3, Shipp 6-5

Antonio Anderson 6-6 guard:
    Shipp 6-5, Westbrook 6-3, Mbah Moute 6-8, Stanback 6-7

Chris Douglas-Roberts 6-7 guard/forward:
    Westbrook 6-3, Shipp 6-5, Mbah Moute 6-8, Keefe 6-9

Robert Dozier 6-9 forward:
Mbah Moute 6-8, Lorenzo Mata Real 6-9, Aboya 6-9, Keefe 6-9

Joey Dorsey 6-9 forward:
    Love 6-10, Mata-Real 6-9, Aboya 6-9, Keefe 6-9

Memphis' bench

Shawn Taggart 6-10 forward: Love, Lorenzo, Keefe
Peter Niles 6-8 forward: Lorenzo, Aboya, Keefe, Stanback
Willie Kemp 6-2 guard: Collison, Shipp, Westbrook, Stanback
Doneal Mack 6-5 guard: Collison, Shipp, Westbrook, Stanback

They have bigger guards but otherwise we match up pretty well in the front court.  We should keep a steady variation of Westbrook, Shipp, Luc Richard and Keefe on CDR and Westbrook, Collison, Shipp and Luc Richard on Rose since those are their best players and possible toughest match-ups.  Maybe we'll see Chace get in and see how he can do against Anderson and some of the reserve guards since our loss of Arron and Roll is highlighted in this match-up.

Going to be a close, good game.

For some reason
I doubt we'll see Chace in this game, as much as I'm excited about this guys potential, I don't think he'll be thrown into a final four game.

But if we do see him, it'll mean we're up by 20 with about a minute thirty to go, so I would be celebrating!

lol
Ya, I don't think he's going to get thrown into a Final Four game either after not playing much this season unless we really need him.  Just good to know he's there if we absolutely need him.

About says it all
about how we'll have to counter their size.

Whether Josh Shipp likes it or not....
He's gonna have to absolutely contribute offensively in this one...

Not so fast my friend (Corso)
In my humble opinion, I think that Shipp needs to break even with Douglas-Roberts on the +/- figures, moreso than score 15-20.  If he can effectively hold CDR to 10-14 and contribute equal, efficient scoring, then chalk up a huge mini-victory in this war.

Also, regarding matchups--I don't see Rose being defended by Collison due to sheer size and athleticism.  Seems to be a draw for Luc or RW who both match up well against him.  "To slay the dragon" as they say...

seems like you're echoing my statement
"I think that Shipp needs to break even with Douglas-Roberts on the +/- figures, moreso than score 15-20.  If he can effectively hold CDR to 10-14 and contribute equal, efficient scoring, then chalk up a huge mini-victory in this war."

you're right, josh does need to "contribute equal, efficient scoring..."

I'm sure he'll get it done...

agreed, but being effective is
Not necessarily the same as being the outright scorer that we (okay..."I") had thought he would be in the beginning of the year.  My expectations have been tempered, but his non-offensive contributions have been much better than expected.  With that said, CDR is no joke, and we need a team effort for this one.

Definitely No Joke
CDR will be the best player the Bruins have faced all year. The Bruins have some players like Collison and Love that will be as good if not better than anyone Memphis has faced all year.
