No Surrender

Well here is the perfect news to end with which I will end the Final-4 game week on BN (HT silverlakebruin):

UCLA junior power forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute's parents will see him play in person for the first time. His mother is in San Antonio, and his father is on the way. I talked to Luc about it today, and will have more in tomorrow's paper.
Luc said Wednesday they were not coming, but he received surprising word Thursday that they were both trying to make the trip.
You think our Prince will be a little fired up tomorrow night?

There is nothing that can top that kind of story. Still we need to stick with karma:

I don't think there is anything else I can do to get everyone even more hyped up for tomorrow. After all we have to get some sleep or at least try to.

See you tomorrow in our game day roundup.

About time.

GO BRUINS.

Awesome.
Tomorrow's game is important.  INCREDIBLY important.

But family is EVERYTHING.

I can't tell you the absolute joy I felt seeing my son make his first basket ever on an 8' rim this past season in his YMCA team practice.

I'm sure Luc's parents have seen him play back home, but I'm REALLY hoping a UCLA crowd serenades him with "Luuuuuuuuc" with his parents in attendance.

Their son's doing alright.

Agree
that it's going to be a wonderful moment for the Mbah a Moute and the entire Bruin family. Hopefully Luc will have a great game by playing within himself and not trying to do too much.

Awesome!
I know the Bruin faithful will provide them with a very loving welcome. They are going to be so proud of their Son.

Additionally
Luc and Alfred represents Cameroon's finest scholastically and athletically.

US colleges and universities perennially enroll many foreign students from third world countries, many of them wonderful people and outstanding scholars in their own right.  Upon completion of their advanced degree, they return to serve their home country with what they learned here.

I cannot give Luc and Alfred enough credit for their outstanding sportsmanship and their academic achievements in a prestigious Division I school.

Let's give toasts to these two fine young men.  No matter how the game turns out tomorrow, we owe you a big thank you.

So happy for Luc!
I'm glad he'll finally be able to play in front of his parents.

Win or lose
I will be happy in the fact that Luc's parents were finally able to see him play.

I hope his parents arn't coming
because it's his last UCLA game(s).  After all, they could have waited till next years final four as well.:)

Playing under control
When I opened the Sports sEction of the LA Times this morning, this story was the best thing I've read in that fish wrap in many-a-year.   I couldn't be happier for the Prince.

I just hope he plays with the right balance of emotion and control so as to not pick-up some early fouls because he is too jacked up playing in front of his parents.

Balance, young Prince, is what your team needs from you.  Lead us to the promised land and make your parents even more proud than they already are of you!

LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCC!!

Go Bruins.

Same here.
I'm a little worried he's going to start shooting foolish 3-pointers.

I have to admit I get a little choked up
when I think about this and how special it must be to Luc. He has been away from his family in a foreign country and now gets to share his great accomplishment with them. I am so happy for him and his family.

You are not alone silverlake
BTW it's nice we don't have to fight any more about silly coaching related issues. Isn't it? :-)

IF CRN and CBH are here another 15 years
what will have to disagree about?
