Scully & Wooden: for the Kids Tickets

I saw this on the LA Times website today - it'd be a good opportunity to hear Coach Wooden speak, along with Dodger legend Vin Scully.

Star-divide

From the Ticketmaster website:

Vin Scully and John Wooden appear together one night only, on-stage at NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE to share their thoughts, philosophies, reflections, insights and wisdom in the City where each has lived, worked and contributed for nearly 50 years to our way of life. Moderated by award-winning columnist T.J. Simers of the Los Angeles Times, proceeds from SCULLY & WOODEN...For the Kids will be donated to the Pediatric Cancer Program at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA and pediatric cancer research at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and City of Hope through ThinkCure, the official charity of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Tickets range from 25.00 to 200.00.

You lost me at Simers
Couldn't they get Enberg for the night?  That would be awesome!

he got the gig because ...

he was the one who set the whole thing up. he got the two to agree to do the event together (which is actually the first time they’ve ever done such a thing together). i’m sure he’s not going to be the painfully negative TJ Simers everyone loves to hate. the format is like inside the actor’s studio, and won’t be featuring much of his opinion.

My brain skipped over "Simers"
and was more excited about the part that said "Wooden" and "for kids."

It may be organized by Simers
He seems to do massive amounts of work raising money for the Mattel Children's Hospital, so this may be part of it. It may be the only good thing he does.

Yep

He had a column about this a few weeks ago. I’m flying in from Chicago for the weekend to go to this. Just got tickets last night.
