"A lot of people said, 'Why didn't you go Oregon or one of the bigger schools?' " Hundley said. "To me, UCLA has it all — academics, a football team on the rise. Things will get better from here. I had no doubt that this was the right school for me."

"What’s really kind of interesting is one of UCLA big recruits (Brett Hundley) came in early for 2011 and he is on same floor as I am. It is almost like we’re complete opposites. He is about to start college and I am almost done with mine.’’

"They have so many guys who've bought into the system. Driving guys downfield and not being individual, not trying to just flatten guys, they're working together as one. The whole thing about the zone is opening the lanes for running backs to pick."

"Last year, they didn't get their first commit until first week in June. Second and third came the exact same time last year, span of 24 hours. By the end of June, they had commitments from Moore, Nottingham, McDonald and Flowers. What I think it is, because they have such few scholarships, they're being a lot more judicious. Quite a few went out at the camp, and the way they changed format, more went out now than normal. You'll see things pick up more. But because the class is small and they're going after big fish, it will be a more top-heavy class. Those are the guys who wait til December, January to decide."
