UCLA F-Back Anthony Barr talks about his first LIVE college football action with Jon Gold. GO BRUINS.
Here's a montage of every pass we attempted on Saturday. Since Prince v. Brehaut will likely come up several more times over the next couple days, I thought this might be a solid tool for anyone looking to analyze Prince's game 1 performance. I feel that sometimes our game-day vision is impaired by passion, excitement, frustration etc. This phenomena leads to fuzzy pseudo-memories in which Logan Paulsen was called for 30 penalties in one game and Jrue Holiday was the worst freshman b-ball player in NCAA history. Looking through these plays, I would say that Prince deserved at least five more completions and 40 or so more yards for the day. That's not necessarily a ringing endorsement but I think the kid should get at least a few more starts before we give him the hook in favor of another youngster who has shown no pocket presence outside of one scrimmage.
Ralph Irvin has a good package of post game interviews which includes comments from 3 of 4 Bruin captains: Kevin Prince, Rahim Moore, and Akeem Ayers. Moore talks about correcting the mental mistakes and need for paying closer attention to details. While Prince mentions how we have an opportunity to "bounce back" next weekend against a Pac-10 opponent and start the conference season 1-0 at home. Hope the players are just as frustrated as we all are but more resilient than the casual "fans." GO BRUINS.

Looky here. Ralph gives us a sneak peek into UCLA road uniform. I like the move to going back to the classic road look. Plus there is the awesome tribute to Coach in the helmet. I rather forget about that "changes" that took place under the previous coaching regime. To be fair the change in road uni was not as monstrously ugly and repulsive like the black home uniforms Lavin rolled out back in the day. Still I like the move to go back to the classic look. Reminds me of the time when we used to legitimately contend and win the conference. GO BRUINS.
Although I posted this video before the KSU game last year, I think it's worth sharing again (may be I was looking for excuse to feature a U2 tune on this blog too). The video gives us a little taste of what Coach Bill Snyder has meant to that program. It should also give us an idea the kind of passion and excitement we are going to see from the K State fans in Manhattan. I will try to compile my notes on the Wildcats in the coming days. However, if you guys want to go ahead and get started fire away. The folks at Bring On The Cats were taking it easy this summer but it looks like they are buzzing again. Should be a good opener in which I believe the Cats will be the favorites. GO BRUINS.
