Look who is reading BN during a UCLA women's volleyball game. None other than Ralph Irvin. Just a tiny example how our thoughts, reflections are being read by everyone at Morgan Center and beyond. (via BN reader @scapscash) GO BRUINS.
What is Tyler Bru'ing or Cooking? Tyler's cookbook. Rick Neuheisel: "Way to go Tyler, keep up all the good work! It was great seeing you at practice and I look forward to making some of your delicious recipes!"
I have been meaning to share this photo for a while. The cake above made for the wedding of a really good friend of mine - 11Banners - who happens to be one of the best contributors on BruinReportOnline. I have known 11B for a long time. Not sure if there is anyone who is more hardcore Bruin than him. Really cool stuff. I had asked 11B if I could share the picture here and he gave me his permission. Congrats to Banners and his special lady (who is also awesome). GO BRUINS.
I'm doing something a little different this week. Here is Jonathan two weeks ago on campus. I chose this picture because it represents my two greatest accomplishments and if there is anything I want to pass on to Jonathan, it's the importance of those four letters. I'm also resorting to some baking mojo this morning to see if that changes things. Almost nothing is off limits if it can help my Bruins.
This hasn't been mentioned anywhere here yet. Just want to wish a happy MLK day to everyone here on BN, who are part of a Bruin community that relishes legends such as Jackie Robinson, Arthur Ashe and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The shot above is from the files of the UCLA History Project. MLK, "under heavy guard and the gaze of television cameras" was speaking to "4,500 students and faculty gathered near Janss Steps" about " racial injustice and the evils of segregation. MLK was asking "for help" and talking about "the future" to thousands of Bruins in April of 1965, a year after he won the Nobel peace prize. Happy MLK Day everyone. GO BRUINS.
