In a homage to the great Chuck Norris, the Diamondback's blog AZ Snake Pit has done the same to our Trevor Bauer. E.g. Trevor Bauer once killed two birds with one pitch. The batter still struck out looking. E.g. Trevor Bauer did not go to U.C.L.A. to study, Trevor Bauer went to UCLA so the engineering program could study him.
UCLA is the only school with winners in top football, men's basketball, baseball awards! Thanks to Trevor Bauer, Gary Beban, Marques Johnson, and Ed O'Bannon. Also, "UCLA is the only school to have produced a No. 1 draft selection in the National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA), Major League Soccer (MLS) and Major League Baseball (MLB, June Draft)."
Trevor Bauer was named one of three finalists for this year's Golden Spikes Award; the fan voting portion of the selection ends this afternoon at 2pm PDT. Vote for Trevor!

To the surprise of no one, Trevor Bauer has been named one of three finalists for the Golden Spikes Award, the top honor in amateur baseball.
Trevor Bauer (our Saturday pitcher) is one of 30 semifinalists for the Golden Spikes Award, given to the top U.S. amateur player.
The sophomore duo of Cole and Bauer rank first and second, respectively, in strikeouts in the Pac-10 Conference, through Monday, March 22. Cole has gone 5-0 with a 2.20 ERA in a team-high 32.2 innings. Bauer has posted a 4-0 record and 2.05 ERA through 30.2 innings. Both pitchers were selected as National Players of the Week by Collegiate Baseball on March 15, after having registered 15 strikeouts in each of their respective starts the previous weekend at the Whataburger College Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas. Cole fanned 15 batters against Texas A&M Corpus Christi in a 11-3 victory on March 12, before Bauer notched 15 strikeouts in a 5-2 win over Mississippi State on March 13.
SP Trevor Bauer (UCLA) Valencia, Calif. (Hart) All the talk before the spring was about first-round pick Gerrit Cole. But Bauer had an even better inaugural season for the Bruins. The right-hander was known for his hard-nosed demeanor on the mound and had a 9-3 record in 10 starts and 20 appearances. He also had a 2.99 ERA in 105 1/3 innings. He also struck out 92 and walked 27 and teams hit him at a .225 clip. Bauer finished the year with four complete games.
Trevor Bauer was named Freshman Pitcher of the Year by Collegiate Baseball and has been named to nearly every Freshman All-American team, with Baseball America now joining the fray. He is spending his summer with the US National Team.
Freshman right-hander Trevor Bauer of the UCLA baseball team has earned Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week honors after having fired a one-hit complete game shutout in UCLA's 13-0 victory over Washington on Saturday, April 18. Bauer became UCLA's first pitcher to throw a one-hit complete game since April 13, 1998, when Tony Righetti limited Hawai'i-Hilo to one hit in a 16-0 win at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
