This is just one of those very sad stories that I hate to read. Tampa Bay DT Brian Price - one of the more beloved members of our extended Bruin family - is out with exhaustion and grief after sister's death I can't imagine how my mind and body would react if I lost my closest sibling at a young age. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family, especially the two young children now without a mother.
He is the Jacksonville Jaguars' only representative in the game.
Yahoo sits down for an interview with former Bruin Punter Chris Kluwe. His mom is sad he didn't find a cure for cancer. I'm happy he chose UCLA over Harvard. (and more fun tidbits!) Follow Kluwe on twitter @ChrisWarcraft
Actually a surprisingly good article by the LA Times about the struggles Brian Price has faced since being drafted by the Tampa Bay Bucs #35th overall, including going through 2 surgeries and, with the help and support of his wife and family, has endured TONS of pain to get back to play earlier than people expected and earn a start in this Sunday's game vs. Minnesota. Although we miss him at UCLA, its great to hear how his will and determination continue to make us proud! Best of luck on Sunday and throughout the season Brian!
Congrats to UCLA alum and current Jacksonville Jaguar for his new contract. The $35 million, 5-year contract includes $17 million guaranteed and will make him one of the league's highest paid tight ends. The Jaguars placed the franchise tag on Lewis in 2010.
LA still doesn't have a professional football team (well, except for you-know-who), so I'll be following the Tennessee Titans again this coming season (along with Jacksonville, among others). Hope ATV avoids the sophomore jinx and Ayers has a monster rookie season.
After being drafted in the 6th round, David Carter officially signed with the Arizona Cardinals. Despite a rough last season at UCLA, it's great to hear he has a chance to succeed in the pros. Best of luck to him.
New Vikings QB Donovan McNabb managed to pry away the No. 5 from current P - former Bruin - Chris Kluwe. Watch the negotiations. Serious stuff. GO BRUINS.
According to ESPN LA's Peter Yoon, Alterraun Verner is taking advantage of his time off due to the NFL lockout by coming back to UCLA and finishing his degree in Applied Mathematics. It's men like him that make me proud to be a fellow Bruin.
Not sure how you can overlook one of the top offensive linemen in the history of football...
